The Changing Weather, Fall Is Just Around The Corner

With the changing of the weather comes a bit of a change in the fishing too. Our fall fishing patterns will soon be here and weather can play a big part in what the bite is doing. If you are a walleye fisherman, you should know that a good stiff wind will move those walleyes into current areas and deeper holes making them very easy to hone in on. Minnows will soon be the main bait of choice for those hungry "eyes".
There will also be a movement in the crappies and they might surprise you as you pull into your favorite walleye hole only to catch some slabs.
The lakers will also start to school up as they start getting ready to come back up to the shallows to spawn.
Fall is also one of the best times of the year for "trophy" pike fishing. They will seem to frequent the edges of the deeper holes where the walleyes and crappies are gathering.
Fall, it is one of the most productive times of the year for fishing, the fish are at peak weights and almost always hungry, make sure you get out to enjoy it.
