It's Almost Over

Well, our ice fishing season is almost over. It is probably a good thing as our ice has about had the biscuit.
I walked out on the ice on sabaskong this a.m. and there was not much left to support my weight. I was on
about 1-1/2 inches of white slushy ice with around 4 inches of blue under that. The ice on the
"trout waters" is a little better, but not much. We are supposed to cool back down a little and
possibly get some snow for the weekend, I really do not like the sounds of that.
We will be closing the store to do some small renovation projects starting on saturday the 16th.
During this time we will also be taking a little time to get our farm ready  for summer, ride our
horses and get some R&R!
We will keep you updated on ice/open water conditions in the mean time.
Take Care,
Cindy and Phil

A 26 Pound Walleye!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone,
What a great time of year to be out on the ice!!! Both the fishing and the weather is good this time of year.
Cindy and I have been doing some evening walleye fishing and it has been very good. The trout are snappin'
and I have finally even had some good reports on the crappie fishing.
With the summer season just around the corner, we really want to say THANK YOU for your past support and we are looking forward to serving you all again this coming season. YOU MAKE US WHO WE ARE,
WE ARE YOUR STORE!!!
We will be closed for a week or two starting on the 16th of April. We will be in from time to time to check messages and start getting the store ready for the busy season. Cindy and I will also be spending as much time as we can at our farm playing with our horses and resting up. LOL
We also have more Big News for this coming summer, our oldest daughter Randi Rae will be getting married on Aug. 6th to Matt Marcel.
We are not sure who will be helping us out at the store this summer, as Emily has decided to stay in Thunder Bay to work, Randi is a nurse and Thatcher will be out on the lake guiding. There is one thing for sure though, we are very proud of all three of our children.
Oh yah, as for the 26 lb walleye on our title. April Fools! LOL
