Well, it's been a while. Sorry, I think I have been busy?????
With last weeks temps hitting the upper 80's to low 90's, I thought fall would never get here.
In the last few days we have had rain, sleet, hail and snow. The last two nights have brought hard frosts too.
You should know what happens now, THE FISH GO CRAZY!!!!!!! Everyone I have had in the last couple of days have said that they have never had any better fishing. It is a minnow bite too. No matter what you are fishing for, crappie, northern, walleyes or bass, they are eating minnows.
So, our fall bite has started. Loads of walleyes, crappies are moving into the fall spots. It is now til freeze-up that will bring some of the best catches of the year. It is getting closer every day to being your last chance to take in some of our open water fishing.
Oh yah, there is also some ducks being shot as well as grouse. Tomorrow the archery season open in our area for whitetail, I am thinking it is going to be a good hunt, but not quite as good as normal. I think our black bear hunt has been the best is has been in many years. Most hunters took average to large bears so far this year. I did see a 546 lber that a fella took with archery gear.
