Summer Patterns

Pushing through week two of the walleye season finds the fish in a summer patten.
Most of the fishermen have been having very good success on the mid-lake reefs.
A jig and minnow is the bait of choice for all the local guides.
There are however, a fair number of walleyes in the weeds. It is just a little harder
to fish the weeds for most anglers.
The lake trout are moving down in most lakes. The 60 - 80 foot range has been the best
range of water. Most anglers are jigging Vibe 65, Vibe 80 and Heddon sonars.
The crappies tried to get a spawn in, but every time they moved in to get the job done
the weather would turn and it would push them back out.
The northern fishing has been the best it has been in years. Hardly a day goes by that I
do not hear of a fish being caught in the mid to high 40 inch range caught.
All in all, it has been a great start!!!!
Hope you all had a great spring and are getting to do some open water fishing.
If you have not been up to see us yet, please make sure you do.
