The Future Looks Bright

Our weather has been very windy and wet, but the long range forecast looks much better.
Even with the crappy weather, the fishing has been good for most. I am still hearing of lots of walleye,
northern pike and good perch being caught. The trout are dropping off into the deeper waters, but are
still biting good.
The bass are trying to move up on the banks. I think the next few days in a row of nice weather will let them pull right in. Our crappie should get things done now too. The ones caught this week were 50/50.

We lost Mel Olson (of Mel's Marine) this week to a short battle with cancer. It is a big loss to his family, all who knew him and our community. His funeral will be on friday at the United Church at 1:00 p.m..
We will be closed during the service in respect for him.
