Nestor Falls Winter Carnival

On March 2nd - 4th, Nestor Falls will be hosting their 30th Annual Winter Carnival.
There will be lots to do over the three day festival. Fish Derby, Lots Of Games, Live Band and Food.
It is always a great time. Lots of prizes available to be won.
We would really like to see you all come and enjoy in the fun.

Hard Water Fishing

Hello!
Our hard water fishing is about half over and the best is yet to come. Fishing has been very good
all in all this winter and the weather has made it very nice to be out there on the ice.
Seem our trout fishing has been the best it has been in years. Tubes, spoons and hair jigs are the ticket
to the best of the catches. Most of the fish are coming out of 25 - 50 feet of water. Almost all the trout
waters have been producing good numbers of fish.
The perch bite is still on over on Sabaskong. The better numbers of bigger fish are in the 22 - 30 foot
range. If you are catching, but they are a smaller run of fish, go a bit bigger with your bait.
Lots of nice sized eating walleyes are being caught too. The bite is best during the last hour of daylight in
the evening.
Our crappie bite has been O.K.. The schools are really moving around and it is hard to stay on them. Some
days it is a full time task just to drill enough holes to be on fish all day. Move, move, move!!!
Lake travel has never been better either. There is about 2 - 6 inches of snow on the ice and it is fairly
smooth.
In short, there is not much time left to get out and enjoy one of the greatest sports around,
HARD WATER FISHING!!! Get going and get out there.
